Dr Anthony YC Kao is a male Specialist Periodontist.
Anthony was an Otago trained physiotherapist before he took the opportunity to pursue his childhood dream as a dentist in Poland. He returned to New Zealand and completed his registration exam (NZDREX) in 2014. During his time away from New Zealand, he worked as a resident dentist at one of the most internationally recognized center in Asia (Cheng Gung Memorial Hospital), as well as a general dentist in a semi rural township in Taiwan.
He enjoys all aspect of dentistry, with special interests in restorative dentistry, root canals treatment, periodontal (gum) treatment, pain diagnosis and management, and accident and emergency managements.
Anthony has been taking numerous courses both overseas and locally in New Zealand to continue developing himself in the profession. He spent every winter back in New Zealand during those years he was away, not only to participate the dental courses available here, but also snowboarding with his friends in South Island.
