Dr Basil Al-Amleh is a male Specialist Prosthodontist.
Basil is a highly accomplished dental specialist with a strong academic background and extensive clinical experience. He graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 and Clinical Doctorate in Prosthodontics in 2011 from the University of Otago. He was a Senior Lecturer in Dental Biomaterials Science at Otago dental school in Dunedin, lecturing and tutoring both undergraduates and postgraduate students.
His thesis and research interests were focused on dental ceramics failure. During that time, he authored and co-authored numerous research publications and chapters in implantology textbooks.
With over 22 years of clinical experience, Basil has developed a reputation for excellence in Prosthodontics, complex dental rehabilitations, implant treatments, and cosmetic dentistry. He also addresses more complex issues, such as temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD), jaw alignment problems, and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). He is committed to staying up to date with the latest advances in dental technology and techniques to provide his patients with the highest quality care possible.
Basil enjoys teaching and is very passionate about training and education. He lectures around NZ to general dentists about advanced dental treatments. He is also a guest speaker at AUT, giving lectures to senior Oral Health Therapy students on screening for OSA and TMD patients.
