Dr Oteng-Boateng is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon trained in Australia and New Zealand. He holds both general and specialist registrations with the medical and dental boards of both countries. He is comprehensively trained in and practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS)
Dr Oteng-Boateng completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with honours from University of Otago in Dunedin New Zealand. He worked full-time for four years as a dentist before completing his medical degree (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, MBChB) at the University of Auckland. He spent two years working as a medical doctor in New Zealand, completing rotations in General and Emergency Medicine, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery, Orthopaedic and General Surgery. He then moved to Australia and completed four years of Advanced Surgical Training in OMFS, while simultaneously completing a Master of Surgery degree through the University of Sydney. He was awarded the Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in February 2015. Dr Oteng-Boateng takes pride in being an excellent surgeon. He keeps up to date with the latest literature in surgery, medicine and dentistry. He always provides the highest standard of care to his patients in a compassionate and considerate manner. Dr Oteng-Boateng has clinical and teaching roles at Westmead Hospital where he treats patients and helps train surgeons, dentist and doctors. He is also an honorary clinical lecturer at University of Wollongong where he is involved with teaching of medical students.
