Dr Chris Kennedy is a male General Dentist.
Chris was raised in Christchurch and earned his dentistry degree from Otago University.
Chris Kennedy started working in the North West corner of Christchurch in 1987. Along with Steve Simmons, he set up Northwest Dental in 1993. Chris has been a former President of the Canterbury Branch NZDA, and Chairman of Southern Region of NZ Dental Peer Review. He has introduced a range of high calibre clinicians into the Northwest Dental team. He is exceptionally proud of the Northwest dental hygienist programme. His auxiliary staff are superb and do their upmost to enhance patient care.
Chris has a broad scope of practice with special interest areas of implants, crowns, restorative dentistry, periodontal maintenance, and preventive dentistry. He also performs endodontic treatment and is part of a team in managing temporomandibular dysfunction. For patients with highly complex treatment requirements, he works closely with local specialists to aim for the best outcome treatments.
Chris has a large number of longstanding patients retaining their teeth into later life. He enjoys the challenges of pragmatically helping to manage their dentitions into and throughout their senior years.
