Dr Jacob R Grieve is a male General Dentist.
Jacob is passionate about providing dental care that is second to none. Based in private practice in Dunedin, Jacob has been the Lead Dentist of Knox Dental since 2007.
After graduating with distinction from Otago University in 2002, Jacob gained valuable surgical experience as a Dental House Surgeon. This was consolidated further when he worked in a surgical team in Manchester, England. After being awarded the fellowship of the RACDS (general stream) by examination in 2008 Jacob received the NZDA Outstanding Young Dentist award in 2009.
Jacob works with a wide range of general dental procedures, including IV sedation, surgical extractions, molar endodontics, minimally invasive crowns and veneers. He gives lectures on decay prevention and management of cracked teeth as well as being the founder and host of the New Zealand Dental Podcast. He is a member of the New Zealand Society of Sedation in Dentistry, New Zealand Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and New Zealand Dental Association. Jacob has also been involved in the education of undergraduate students at the Otago University Dental School as a part-time clinical tutor and guest lecturer on the business side of Dentistry.
He serves on the Clinical Advisory Board for Lumino nationally, and has served as the President of the Otago Branch of the New Zealand Dental Association.
Recently having formed a connection with the Tongan Oral Health service, Jacob is volunteering his time to partner with them, in their commitment to improve the Oral Health of the Tongan people.
