Dr Jacy Q Lin is a female General Dentist.
Jacy grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago in 2013. After graduation, her first job was with Lumino the Dentist where she worked for four years receiving great mentorship and support from senior clinicians and dental colleagues.
Jacy also has travelled extensively across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Australasia and the Pacific where she gained an appreciation for numerous different cultures, languages, and traditions. Understanding that each patient is different and we have to treat them holistically as a whole, instead of focusing just on the mouth and teeth. During her travels, she also took part in a few dental volunteering projects in places where dentistry is not easy to come by.
Jacy is passionate about her job and loves to do general dentistry, with a special interest in aesthetic dentistry. She believes that all types of dentistry have their own purpose and role for the patient. She is always looking to challenge herself, improve her knowledge, and continue learning. She loves dentistry because it is so hands on, no two days are the same, and every day brings great challenges and joy.
Jacy decided to return to the University of Otago in 2022 and undertake a one-year Master’s degree in Aesthetic dentistry where during that time, she also worked part-time as a clinical tutor for the 4th year PPCE, UCU and Oral surgery department. During this time, not only she gained so much knowledge from her Master’s degree but also learned so much from the opportunity of helping undergrads learn and grow.
Moving forward, Jacy would like to continue growing her skills and knowledge in general dentistry, especially in Aesthetic dentistry. Also expanding in the implant and Invisalign field.
