Dr Malosi Poma is a male General Dentist.
Talofa (Greetings). I’m a Tuvaluan (Tuvalu was formerly known as the Ellice Islands) but I was born in Kiribati (Gilbert Islands) during the colonial era. (Gilbert and Ellice Islands former British Colony).
I attended St Andrews College in Christchurch for my high school years. In 2001, I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Fiji School of Medicine at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. In 2010, I successfully completed a Master of Science from Taipei Medical University in Taiwan.
My family migrated to New Zealand in 2014. I re-entered dental training at Otago University. After four years of studies, I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry for Periodontology.
My goal is to help my patient understand the importance of oral health to general health. To keep them motivated to maintain good oral hygiene practices. Understanding that there is no replacement that is as good as our natural teeth, so I wish to enable my patients to value and maintain good oral health practices throughout their lives.
