Dr Mel Kim is a female General Dentist who speaks Korean (as well as English).
Mel is originally from South Korea and came to New Zealand when she was very young. Ever since beginning high school at Waikato Diocesan – she knew her dream was to become a dentist and takes pride and joy in her work everyday.
In particular she enjoys oral surgery, endodontics and strives to provide a pain and fear-free dental experience for her patients.
After completing the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Otago, she immediately joined Smile Dental. During her student years, she was awarded the University of Otago Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship and the Sir John Walsh Summer Studentship Scholarships and is currently working on publishing her research.
