Dr Rebecca A Chapman is a female General Dentist.
After completing my Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Otago, I have worked in both hospital departments and private practice. My first two years of work were spent at Christchurch Hospital as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Officer, where I gained experience in managing dental emergencies and trauma, as well as treating medically compromised and special needs patients. During this time, I completed the Primary Examinations through the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. I then moved to private practice where I have worked in both Christchurch and Auckland.
I am currently working part-time at Christchurch hospital as a Special Needs Dentist, alongside my days at Halswell Dental Centre. I have a wide range of interests within dentistry, with a strong focus on prevention and providing patient-centered care in a friendly and gentle manner. The main areas of private practice I enjoy are general restorative dentistry, treatment of medically compromised and anxious patients. I have a keen interest in research and am also completing a Master of Community Dentistry (Dental Public Health).
