Dr Shaz MacAvoy is a female Specialist Orthodontist.

With dual registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand and the General Dental Council of the United Kingdom, Dr MacAvoy brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice. Originally from Auckland, Dr MacAvoy started her career as a pharmacist before transitioning to general dentistry. She then went on to teach dentistry at the University of Sydney while also practicing in private practice. After being selected for specialist orthodontist training, Dr MacAvoy spent an additional three years at the University of Otago, where she gained the qualifications and expertise to become a registered specialist orthodontist. Concurrently, she pursued a research degree in orthodontics at the University of Sydney, demonstrating her dedication to staying at the forefront of her field.
