Dr Simon J Olliver is a male Specialist Orthodontist.
Simon grew up in Marlborough. He is a registered orthodontist with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
Simon graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (with Distinction) from the University of Otago in 2012. Upon graduation he worked as a Dental and Maxillofacial House Officer at Auckland and Middlemore Hospitals before moving to the Bay of Plenty for 3 years of general dental practice. Later he undertook three years full-time specialist postgraduate training at the University of Otago, graduating with a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry.
Simon has a Fellowship in General Dentistry and a Membership in Orthodontics with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He also travels to the Hutt Valley District Health Board to provide orthodontic treatment to children with craniofacial conditions and those with cleft lip and palate, as well as maintaining a busy private practice based in Marlborough. Simon is certified with the Australasian Orthodontic Board, a member of the New Zealand Association of Orthodontists, and the New Zealand Dental Association. He is also involved in the Wish For a Smile charity that provides free access to treatment to those whose families would otherwise be unable to afford orthodontic care.
Simon is committed to continued education and has presented both nationally and internationally as well as being published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
Born, raised and educated in Blenheim, Simon is passionate about the local community and proud to be back home to practice orthodontics right here in Marlborough.
