Dr William M Gaudie is a male Specialist Periodontist.
Dr Bill Gaudie graduated BDS with Distinction from the University of Otago in 1979 and, following five years clinical experience in the hospital dental department in Christchurch and family practice in Australia, he returned to complete a Masters degree in periodontology at Otago. Bill graduated MDS (Otago) with Distinction in 1987 and completed his FRACDS immediately after. In 1988 Bill commenced specialist practice as a periodontist in Wellington where he has practised since.
Bill has had executive positions with NZDA (Wellington) and was involved as secretary of the organising committee of the 1998 Wellington NZDA conference; treasurer and president of the NZ Society of Periodontology; Secretary/Treasurer of the Australasian Osseointegration Society; inaugural member of the Australian and NZ Academy of Periodontists; and long-time member of the American Academy of Periodontology, British Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology. At various times he has acted as consultant to the Dental Council, ACC and the Health and Disability Commissioner. Bill has lectured widely to dentist, hygienist and periodontist groups over the years and has been an invited external examiner for the specialist training programmes in periodontology at the Universities of Otago and Queensland.
