DipDentTher (Wellington Polytechnic), Dental Therapist
Ms Kate A Boyden is a female Dental Therapist.
Katy is our resident dental therapist who sees our teenagers who attend the practice. She has a real love for her job originating from her Mum who has been a dental therapist for many years. Both are very invloved in helping develop policies that will aid in the improvement in oral health for our kids.
Kate wishes to remind all parents that dental health is free for all teenagers under the age of 18. They can be seen for check ups yearly, xrays taken and any necessary treatment provided.
In 2011 Kate will be able to provide pulp therapy (primary or baby teeth root canal treatment) to our young ones and place crowns on top to keep the teeth in place and allow their natural exfoliation when the adult tooth is ready to erupt.
All the kids who attend the practice love Kate who has a real ability to set their minds at ease. In 2010 Kate made mouthguards for the 1st XV Napier Boys High rugby team that travelled overseas. She proudly displays their photo they presented her in her surgery.
