Ms Maria A Zabala is a female Oral Health Therapist.
Maria is originally from Argentina and has lived in New Zealand for almost eleven years. Maria has been in the dentistry field for over nine years starting as a certified dental assistant by the New Zealand Dental Association (NZDA) and then completing her Bachelor of Health Science at AUT in 2022, where she acquired a dual scope in both Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy.
Maria is specially trained in the most up-to-date infection prevention and control standards as set by the New Zealand Dental Association to provide the most confident, clean, and sterile dental environments to all patients.
Maria is very intelligent, quirky, and full of joy. She brings a wonderful friendly atmosphere wherever she goes and is always there to light up the room. Maria speaks Spanish fluently. She also has great satisfaction in being able to make patients feel at ease no matter what procedure they may be having, always making sure to explain clearly what is going to happen to help build her patient’s confidence.
Her goal is to provide an enjoyable experience as well as personalised oral health education to encourage my patients to make positive changes in their home care and lifestyle choices.
